Our Friday date was sumptuously accentuated with the authentic culinary delights of Casa Haciendas in Gahanna. The portions are Huge in fact too much for us and we know how to put it away. The service was friendly and efficient. If you want to experience the Mexican culture and food I recommend Casa Haciendas, you will not be disappointed

We stopped here on a whim. At first, we were a little concerned because there were only 4 tables filled At 6:30pm on a Friday. We had both new to the previous two Mexican restaurants that have been here. They were both average. However, this place is great and the place was full when we left
I ordered the Sopillo Trio choosing one each of chicken, beef, and shredded beef. The chicken was flavorful, having a well developed cumin flavor. The Shredded Beef also has a well developed asada(sp?) flavor, very juicy and fresh. The ground beef was my least favorite; however, it too has a great flavor.
The sopillo were a cornmeal based bread piled high with the meat, lettuce, tomato, and Creme Fresh. They were served with a delicate Spanish rice, a terrific refried beans, and all you want chips and salsa. The salsa was fresh, but I'm not a big fan of the Mexican cilantro that was used. The unique part of the meal was the bean dip that also came with the salsa. It was refried beans with something mixed in that I couldn't place, with fresh pico on top. I really liked it!
All in all, I recommend this place, especially if you have been to the previous restaurants that occupied this space. You won't regret it!
A solid 4 stars from me. -

I hate to say that I need to make an update that isn't positive. Tonight, my friend and I came back and had our usual meals. Just like Iron BBQ, the cheese had turned. Ok, folks. Here's how you know... it smells. Straight smells like BO. Pretty odd to explain it that way, but when cheese has gone bad, legitimately smells like bad body odor. I got Chile rellenos and the shredded cheese on top wreaked of that smell. It was so intense, we had to send it back. It was so bad, even the booth behind us asked what that smell is. My friend got the Hawaiian fajitas, and 2 tiny shrimp and 4 tiny scallops and a little chicken were atop the massive pile of pepper and onions. He's on Keto so he was pretty angry. I got nachos as well, and they brought out the entirely wrong order and I honestly had enough. I got everything to go and came home and ordered a pizza. I gave all of my carry out to my disabled neighbor, at least he was excited.
Sorry, not coming back. After coming here almost weekly, how bad this was and the awful service on top of it, I'm over it. ONCE AGAIN, on to finding yet another quality Mexican place for us to go. It was that bad to make me never want to return. -

This is my favorite Mexican joint in Gahanna and I have always had great service. On this particular night, we had just finished packing and were in need of a drink and some good food. We were seated and looked at our menu. After 20 minutes of no service, I was beginning to wonder what was going on. Finally, a waitress arrived and apologized and said she was late today. I'm not sure if that meant she was late to work and we were sat in her area anyhow or if she was late to our table. She took our orders and then came and asked us again what we wanted. It took a long time to get out drinks and chips. I felt like our waitress was kind of out of it. It was quite bizarre. Still, my favorite Mexican place in Gahanna, jut not great service that evening.

My work team and I popped in here for lunch around 2pm on a Friday and the place was pretty empty. We stood at the front for several minutes before anyone greeted us. The waiters were kind and the food came out in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is decorated in bright and festive decor. Certainly a happy and cultural vibe.
Prices are good for lunch, can't speak for dinner. I got two hard shell chicken tacos (comes with rice and refried beans) for ~$7. Everyone else seemed to be content with their food as well! My favorite part of my meal was probably the rice. They do a good job on that!
